Join us on Tuesday night as we say goodbye for now to our NGFA friends and colleagues in style. With a nod to Amelia Island's 400 year history, including that of sailors, smugglers, and stolen treasure, we'll take this party back to the pirate days with rum, music, and merriment.
The party starts at 6:30 p.m. with a sumptuous Florida dinner buffets and drinks and pirate games - think you could make it on the high seas? Celebrate your victories (or not!) with a beer flight from local Jacksonville brewery Intuition Ale Works or enjoy everyone's favorite pirate spirit - rum - at our rum tasting bar.
Native Floridian Jimmy Parrish and his band, the Waves, will provide music and merriment playing their signature sound - "trop rock." A little bit country, a little bit Jimmy Buffet, and influenced by a love of the ocean and islands, trop rock is what an island vacation sounds like. Country musician and noted island lover Kenny Chesney in 2008 tapped Jimmy Parrish and the Waves to open for him at his sold-out show in Jacksonville so you know they are the real deal. Listen!
Those who like to stay 'til the end will be rewarded with fire pits and milkshakes (boozy if you want them!) to wind down the night. Listen to the waves, watch the flames, and toast to another great NGFA Convention.
