FDA to host virtual listening session on the oversight of pet food

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) on Aug. 11 announced that it will host a virtual listening session on the agency’s oversight of pet food to provide stakeholders with an opportunity to share information and insight on this topic.
The virtual listening session will take place on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021 from 1-4:30 p.m. EST. Additional information about the listening session, including instructions for those interested in attending or presenting, is available at: FDA Virtual Listening Session on the Oversight of Pet Food.
People interested in attending this virtual listening session must register no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on Sept. 20 by completing this registration form: Registration - FDA Virtual Listening Session on the Oversight of Pet Food. Early registration is recommended. Registrants will receive confirmation of registration and an email with the webcast link.
Individuals interested in presenting at the virtual listening session when completing their registration are to check off the box indicating their interest. Presenters will be contacted by FDA shortly after Sept. 3 with additional instructions.
In addition to holding the virtual listening session, FDA has opened a docket and will accept electronic or written comments through Oct. 25. To electronically submit comments to the docket, visit www.regulations.gov and type FDA-2021-N-0859 in the search box.
